Letti donates his KoEE 2012 Prize money for KoEE 2013 Pool!

The German Extreme Enduro top gun Andreas “Letti” Lettenbichler (Husqvarna) just made a very generous move by putting all of his 2012 prize money into the KoEE 2013 Prize Pool!

When we wanted to transfer the 2012 money to him, he came back saying: “Kings of Extreme Enduro is a great concept and I am happy to support it. The KoEE Ranking really puts things into perspective – not only from the rider’s perspective but also for fans and sponsors – and the prize pool certainly helps. I didn’t have the best of luck in the 2012 season but I will go flat out in 2013 and am looking forward to race Hell’s Gate on my Husqvarna in February!”

Check out the 1st KoEE Prize Pool Ranking. We’re at €200+ already – let’s top 2012!

Kings of Extreme Enduro – Season 2013

After a really good initial KoEE season we’re happy to say that the main goals have been achieved:

  1. Giving the riders a transparent ranking + international visibility and awareness in the public.
  2. Building a KoEE Prize Pool to support the riders also on the financial side. In 2012 we collected €2,576.97 – a great result considering the fact that KoEE does not have any sponsors.

We’ve decided to build on this initial success and do the same thing in 2013:

  1. We’ll have the same KoEE Magic 7 races in the KoEE 2013 Ranking:Tough One, Hell’s Gate, Erzbergrodeo, Red Bull Romaniacs, Red Bull Sea to Sky, Extreme Lagares & Roof of Africa.
  2. We will use the same rules and ranking method as in 2012!
  3. We will open a new KoEE 2013 Prize Pool!

We’re waiting for the official Tough One results – as soon as we have those we’ll provide the first KoEE 2013 Ranking!

KoEE 2012 Prize Pool Payout!

Happy New Year to all of you and thanks for your support in 2012!

And we’re excited to announce that we’re looking at a total KoEE 2012 Prize Pool of €2,576.97! Not bad for the initial year of a totally new concept without sponsors. We’re paying out 100% of the money in the prize pool according to the KoEE rules as follows below.

Please note: Since Dan Hemingway and Paul Bolton both came in with 36 KoEE Points in the final KoEE Ranking we decided to add up the money for places 8 and 9 and split that amount between the two of them.

Payment is done via PayPal ONLY! We have contacted the 10 riders individually asking for their PayPal email address which we need to pay out the money. There will be NO bank transfer, cash payments or whatever, only PayPal!

Important message For all KoEE 2012 TOP 10 riders:

If you still want to put some money into the KoEE Prize Pool you still can! Remember: 100% of the momey will be paid out to the TOP 10 riders. Just follow the instructions on the KoEE Donations page.

KoEE is a non-profit initiative with two primary objectives:

  1. Honor the heroes of Extreme Enduro – by creating a ranking and thus creating awareness and visibility for the riders!
  2. Putting on a Prize Pool that anybody can pay into and 100% of the money being paid out to the KoEE top 10 riders at the end of the season to support them directly.

Martin Freinademetz / RBR donating €700 to KoEE Prize Pool

We’re very excited to announce that Martin Freinademetz, the Red Bull Romaniacs and Red Bull Sea to Sky mastermind has added €700 to the KoEE Prize Pool. This is a super cool move from Martin – thanks in the name of all riders, especially the ones in the KoEE Ranking!

Martin about KoEE:  “There is no race without the riders and we believe the KoEE idea really supports the riders in a great way. The KoEE ranking gives the riders a broader awareness in the public and the prize pool can certainly help the riders to get to more races in 2013 since 100% of the money will be paid out by the KoEE at the end of 2012.

Furthermore the riders and the world of Extreme Enduro truly deserve and need a world championship and I support actions that help to get there one day – hopefully rather sooner than later.”

Guys, help to grow the KoEE Prize Pool, it’s still open until December 15th, 2012! How? Check the KoEE Donations page for all information. All you need is a PayPal account!

Kings of Extreme Enduro announced

Jan. 12, 2012 – Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm / Kochel am See, Bavaria, Germany

Carsten “SupaM” Steffen and Furchenadel Racingteam Mastermind Seppo Suttner today announced the Kings of Extreme Enduro (KoEE) – kicking off with the Tough One on January 15, 2012 in the UK.

Kings of Extreme Enduro will add up the results of the “Magic 7″ – the most relevant international Extreme Enduro races – in a ranking based on the KoEE ranking method. The Kings of Extreme Enduro will be crowned after the last race in December 2012. Will there be money to win? Fans, riders and brands can put money into the prize pool and 100% of the money in the prize pool will be split – according to the KoEE prize money rules – among the riders in the ranking after the last race in December 2012.

We’re in it for the sport of Extreme Enduro, serving the community of Extreme Enduro riders and fans. Extreme Enduro is – in our humble opinion – the coolest and most exciting motor sport on the face of this planet. The sport of Extreme Enduro, the riders and the increasing number of (super enthusiastic) fans simply deserve a riders ranking spread across the coolest and most relevant races to crown the Kings of Extreme Enduro. For the first tim e ever, this will happen in December 2012.

Carsten SupaM Steffen, Kings’ Chief Enthusiast, said: “First of all, the Kings of Extreme Enduro idea is here to serve the sport, the riders and – last but not least – the fans. We’ve seen a couple of attempts in the past years to form an official World Extreme Enduro Championship and – so far – they’ve all gone up in smoke. Which is a huge pain in the brain for primarily the top riders of the growing scene since they took those attempts serious in the beginning, arranged their sponsor and training activities accordingly – to finally realize that they had made promises to their sponsors which they couldn’t keep because the Extreme Enduro World Championship or World Extreme Enduro Championship never happened.

It’s time to give those great riders and characters of Extreme Enduro some gratitude and serious attention. We all know that the sport of Extreme Enduro is growing massively and encounters increased coverage on all media channels including TV. So many great Trial riders swap their Trial bikes with Enduro bikes to enjoy the speed and the incredible variety of Extreme Enduro. Guys from classic Enduro sneak by every now and then to feel like real men (and women) and even humble MX riders like Stefan Everts who are getting bored by the monotony of the never ending laps and air time give it a try at legenday races like the Erzbergrodeo.

However, a global ranking and crowning a King of Extreme Enduro is still missing. Extreme Enduro – is about us, the passion, the riders and the fans. Without us, there is no business. We’re sick and tired of waiting for a World Championship to happen – so we’ve decided to take action and to simplify this whole thing in the Kings of Extreme Enduro – because, hey, after all a ranking is not rocket science, right? So we’re looking forward to the initial season of the Kings of Extreme Enduro in 2012. And will there be price money? Yes, absolutely!”

The KoEE does not require registration and is not an official race series or championship. It is made by fans and riders for fans and riders.

KoEE Magic 7

The KoEE points will be scored in the “Magic 7″ Extreme Enduro races:

  1. Tough One (UK), Jan. 15
  2. Hell’s Gate (ITA), Feb. 18
  3. Erzbergrodeo (AUT), Jun. 7-10
  4. Red Bull Romaniacs (ROM), Jun. 12-17
  5. Red Bull Sea to Sky (TUR), ?
  6. Extreme Lagares (POR), Oct. 7
  7. Roof of Africa (LSO), ?

The top 15 riders of those races will score KoEE points and the Kings of Extreme Enduro 2012 will be crowned after the last race of the year 2012, the Roof of Africa.

KoEE Price Pool

Since we all know that
a) our sport is expensive and only few of even the top riders are paid factory professionals and that
b) it would be a bit of a mission to carry fridges, micro waves and boxes of power bars to the price ceremony in Lesotho
we believe that the real deal in the price concept is real money.
Rather than trying to acquire one or more KoEE industry sponsors, we believe it’s a good idea to let the fans show their appreciation and take over control. So the international fans are invited to support the KoEE riders by donating the price money. 100% of the donations are put into the price pool. But not only fans can contribute, riders and brands are also invited to grow the price pool.

Is the KoEE organization taking money? No. All we do is creating and maintaining an internet platform to make this happen, defining the rules and regulations and filling in the results from the races into the ranking. Again, that’s not rocket science. If the people out there like the fact that they can do this they are certainly free to donate some funds to the KoEE team so we can buy a beer or two.

Seppo Suttner however generously donates 1 box of Bavarian beer from the Herzoglich Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee for the one and only  2012 King of Extreme Enduro.
